I’m originally from Yorkshire and studied at Liverpool University Dental School, graduating in 2011 with honours, along with the University Prize in Dental Surgery and the Walter Thomas Prize in Oral Medicine and Oral Surgery. After my undergraduate degree I completed three further training posts in Newcastle and Liverpool, during which I passed the MFDS examination through the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow and was awarded the TC White Medal.

In 2015 I moved to Manchester to begin specialty training in Restorative Dentistry, developing my interest in periodontics alongside my wider restorative skills. I completed the Membership Examination in Periodontics through the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2019, and passed the Intercollegiate Specialty Fellowship Examination in 2020.

I also work at the University of Manchester Dental Hospital as a Consultant in Restorative Dentistry, where my job plan is focused on periodontology. Alongside my own patients, I’m heavily involved in teaching on the three-year postgraduate MSc programme in periodontology.

While I undertake a range of restorative treatments, my main focus is the management of periodontal disease and mucogingival defects. I offer both non-surgical and surgical options, and I’ll always recommend an appropriate supportive regime once a course of treatment is complete. I’m also very happy to work with referring clinicians and other team members to get the best outcome in multi-disciplinary cases.

Outside of work, I spend my time with my family and I’m a keen cyclist.
